Uncommon sense is an expression I got from Marvin Minsky's marvellous book The Society of Mind. The part about uncommon sense is a short piece about why computers are amazingly powerful in some specialized fields, but fail miserably when it comes to seem intelligent and show some common sense.
Not only computers fail miserably in showing common sense. Humans may have common sense, but for sure they often act as if they don't.
Since I often fail to perceive to perceive common sense in human beings (myself included) I named this site Uncommon Sense.
